Invite your Team to Mobile Wallet

Share or revoke access to mobile wallet teams.

If you are an admin user, you can invite other users and grant them permissions to your Wallet Projects. This is a two-step process: first you invite users to your team in Airship using the Team Management feature, and then you grant them access to your individual Wallet projects by sharing templates with them.

  1. Invite a user to your company in Airship through   Team Management.
  2. The user activates their Airship account and accepts your invitation.
  3. Share Wallet Templates with a user.

Invite Users to your Wallet Project

To invite people to your Wallet project, they need to be a member of your Team. This process explains both how to add users to your team and then to your Wallet project. If sharing a Wallet project with someone who is already a member of your team, see Share a Mobile Wallet Project below.

When you invite a new user to your project, Airship may send your invitee two emails: one to activate their account and one to accept your invitation. If a user has not already created and activated an account in Airship, they should activate their account first.

Attempting to accept an invitation before activating an account may prevent the user from being able to accept the invitation without help from Airship Support.

  1. In your Wallet project, click   » Team Management.

  2. Click Go to Team Management for Mobile Wallet.

  3. Click Invite Member.

     Note

    By default, new users are considered Admin users, and have the power to create new projects, invite new users, and add or remove Admin permissions from other users. Click the Admin toggle to add or remove administrative permissions from users.

  4. Enter the email address of a new user and click Invite. Airship sends the new user two emails: one to activate their account and one to accept their invitation. The new user should activate their account with Airship first, otherwise they may be unable to accept the invitation later.

     Note

    The Team Management page shows the user you invited as an Outstanding Invitation until they activate their account and accept the invitation. You can revoke invitations to your project here.

  5. If the user you invited does not have an account with Airship, have them activate their account first.
    1. Open the email titled *Activate your Airship account*.
    1. Click **Activate Account**.
    1. Enter and confirm your new password. The new user is automatically logged into Airship.
    
  6. Have the new user accept the invitation to your project.
    1. Open the email titled <Admin User> has given you access to <Wallet Project Name>!

    2. Click the link in the email to accept the invitation.

    3. Click Yes to confirm.

      The new user may see the option to create a New Project, despite having accepted your invitation. The user cannot see your Wallet project until you grant them access to your Wallet templates.

  7. After your new users accept their invitation to your project, you must share templates with them. In your Wallet project, click Templates.

  8. Click   Share.

  9. Enter the email addresses of the users you want to share your template with. Email addresses autofill based on the users who have access to your project.

  10. Click Share.

Accept a Team Invitation

If someone invited you to join their Airship team, you’ll receive two emails. These invitations invite you to create an account and join a team in Airship. However, after you join a team, another administrative user must still grant you access to individual Wallet projects (by sharing templates).

You should open and accept your invitation in the following order:

  1. Subject: Activate your Airship account Action: Click the link to confirm the email address and activate your account.

  2. Subject: [Sender] has given you access to [Account Name] Action: Follow the link to join the company team.

If you do not accept the invitation, you can still follow the link to join the team at any time. Your invitation is valid until another administrator deletes it.

Remove a member from your team

If you are an Admin user, you can delete outstanding team invitations either to prevent someone from joining your team or to revoke access to your team if someone has already accepted their invitation.

  1. Click   » Team Management. Outstanding and accepted team invitations are listed separately.

  2. Click Delete to remove a team member.

    • For outstanding invitations this deactivates the invitation link sent to the user and removes the invitation from the list.

    • For accepted invitations this revokes a user’s access to all projects belonging to your company. If you need to revoke access to a single project, see Revoke Access to a Mobile Wallet Project.

Share a Mobile Wallet Project

You can share projects with existing team members. If you cannot find a user when you go to share your Wallet project with them, you need to invite them to your team first.

  1. Go to the Wallet project you want to share with another user and click Templates

  2. Click   Share.

  3. Enter the username or email address of your team member, then click to select from found matches.

  4. Click Share to save your changes.

The team member you shared the project with will see the project listed the next time they load or refresh the Airship dashboard.

Revoke Access to a Mobile Wallet Project

You can remove a team member from an individual Wallet project. If you need to remove a user from your team entirely, see Remove a Team Member.

  1. Go to the Wallet project you want to remove a user from and click Templates

  2. Click Share.

  3. Under Current Team, click   next to the name of the team member you want to remove.

     Note

    Accounts that cannot be revoked are greyed out.

  4. Click Share to save your changes.

The team member you removed from the project will no longer see the project listed the next time they load the Airship dashboard.
